A birthday treat at Burot Beach, Calatagan, Batangas

I had known about Burot Beach,  way back in 2008 when my former office mates spent a summer getaway here. I was on another occasion so I missed a generous amount of opportunity to spend a quiet weekend getaway in a place, devoid of a crowd and to where sunset offers an obstructed view of a breathtaking sea. This is formerly Elizalde Beach owned by an affluent family, the Elizaldes.

Our refreshing water activity at Sabang Beach had ended. The rain had stopped and the weather was now cooperative as we headed to our next breathtaking escape, to AMCO Diguisit Lodge and Resort. But before we fall in love in this scenic spot, we hopped out of our van and visited Ermita Hill located in Barangay Zabali. It was approximately six kilometers away from the town of Baler and travel time took us around fifteen minutes only.

Minor Climb No. 2: Mt. Pinatubo Challenge

At my age (yes, I’m 43!), a certified mom and definitely not a mountaineer, was a bit hesitant to join the Mt. Pinatubo challenge headed by my office mate Phil. But I’ve been waiting for this adventure for quite some time and I’m not getting any younger. With the encouragement of these two sporty girls, Joyce and Janice, I whisked off all the negative thoughts in my mind, took a one-week regular body workout, and braved this exciting getaway with my colleagues.

It is fast becoming a famous burger restaurant with several branches in Metro Manila and in provincial areas. And most of their branches are beside their sister restaurant which is the Yellow Cab Pizza.

Friday Night at Mexicali, Glorietta 2

In our 2015 Volleyball tournament, the Blue team defeated the Violet team for second place (which was US. Huhuhu). Shiela, being one of the star players of the Blue team was teased by my teammates, Joyce, Arriane, and Rose for a treat. It was so early to celebrate for they have to beat the White team in the championship. But surprisingly, she did. I was told by Joyce, it wasn’t the winning, but the friendship. I was deeply touched for I was included and was thanking in advance.
