Exploring Lantau Island, Hong Kong: What to See and What to Do

When you are on a trip with high-spirited travel buddies, you feel like time runs so fast. What you have to do is to soak up the remaining vacation vibes and savor every morsel of time. For our last day in Hong Kong, me and my office mates (Team Finance) will visit a traditional village in the Ngong Ping area in Lantau Island.  We will immerse ourselves in a relaxing tour where the natural environment, customs, and culture of the island are still richly preserved. We will start our exciting trip by riding the crystal cable car. And so here we go!

Singapore Day 3: Cloud Forest in the Gardens by the Bay

I had a hard time leaving Pulau Ubin, one of the last areas in Singapore that has been reserved by the government from urban development It took me until 3:00 pm to bid goodbye to this amazing little island and set off to Gardens by the Bay. Since it was already late in the afternoon, I have to catch up on a quick visit to its famed cooled conservatories Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. Yes, I was alone and again, I was so excited!

Part 8: Hong Kong and Macau Trip: My Solo Adventure in Disneyland

Dubbed as the “Happiest Place on Earth”, Hong Kong Disneyland is one of the best places to visit in Hong Kong especially if you have kids. It saddened me to leave my family in Manila but they encouraged me to enjoy my solo vacation. It somehow lessened the agony. As for them, a mother deserves to travel once in a while to fully enjoy life. With their support and encouragement, I’m in for a solo adventure in this wonderful theme park! Again, thank you HSBC for my free trip to the city-state.

Since Pao didn’t want to be absent from school on his special day (which is Friday) we make it Saturday. And so the family fun strikes again! Haha! Continue reading

GUIMARAS: Not Just Sweet Mangoes

In going to Guimaras, what is commonly asked for a pasalubong is their sweet mangoes which are being exported worldwide. I’ve discovered that this island has something more to offer. Their stunning beaches, caves, yummy fresh sea-foods, and verdant landscape made me say, “this is a holiday!”

Kawa-Kawa Hill Natural Park: Rejuvenate Yourself with Natural Wonder

Kawa-Kawa Hill is a 236-meter hill located in California Village, Barangay Tuburan in Ligao City. The hill got its name from “kawa” a local dialect that means a native cauldron. That wonderful shape could be seen upon reaching the crater through walking in a well-paved walkway and passing the five trails of Stations of the Cross.
