Calatagan may not be that famous when we speak of beaches in Batangas, nor a favorite choice for weekend fun. But that was a few years ago. Surprisingly, it slowly rose to fame. Some of the now famous beaches here are the Stilts Calatagan, Aquaria Water Park, Lago de Oro Cable Ski Park & Resort, and Little Boracay to name a few.

Lunch time at Yayoi Japanese Teishoku Restaurant, SM Mall of Asia
It was an ordinary day but special to me because my son will treat me for lunch at SM Mall of Asia. Coming from their office in Greenhills for an office errand, Pao fetched me in my workplace by noontime. We were both craving ramen and so we looked for a Japanese restaurant from the North to South Wing of SM Moa. After a lot of walking, finally, we stumbled at Yayoi Japanese Teishoku Restaurant or simply, YAYOI.

Asian n’ Cajun 2 Boiling Seafood Restaurant at Fair Oaks, California
Saying good-bye to our loved ones in California and Nevada made me feel sad and emotional. I guess, we all have these emotions for a reason. Our two-week vacation in these two beautiful states went by quickly. Surely, I will gonna miss a lot of things if we get back home. And to cap off our last but memorable night in California where we stayed longer, my brother-in-law Noel, invited us for fresh boiling seafood treat in a Chinese restaurant called Asian n’ Cajun 2 Boiling Seafood Restaurant.
Varieties of apples at Sprouts Farmers Market, Citrus Heights, California
A vacation to the United States would not be complete without tasting the varieties of apples that the country is known for. One freezing morning, my sister invited me to buy fresh fruits and muffins in Sprouts Farmers Market. Every time we will go for a stroll or grocery shopping, I’m so elated to get out of the house to savor the winter breeze and to see every corner of America! And I was glad Gie did not forget about my mounting desire to eat apples in green, red, and yellow.

Soi: Eat Thai. Love Thai. Yummy Pad Thai
My hubby and I craved for ramen after we bought grocery goodies in Hypermarket in SM Mall of Asia. This is in time with my upcoming trip to Thailand this January. I tried Thai food in Singapore but missed out on the famous Pad Thai. I will try this in Soi and see why travelers visiting Thailand are craving to taste this dish.
Family beach getaway at Masasa Beach, Tingloy Island, Batangas
As I turned 46, we diverted the usual family beach getaway by being a kid again at Gingerbread House in Alfonso, Cavite. But my brother wanted to swim and so I recommended Masasa Beach in Tingloy Island, Batangas. Just last summer of this year, there has been much bustle about this beach and I was curious to find out for myself what this raving is all about.
