Nipa Resto Grill, San Fernando, La Union

Our vacation in Ilocos Province was indeed refreshing. As we were on our way to Manila, the group still craves its famous delicacies. It was nearing twelve high noon and while we were along Diversion Road in San Fernando we stumbled upon this cute restaurant Nipa Resto Grill with ”Bahay Kubo” style structure. And everyone was excited to hop out from the van and eat!

Ilocos Norte Adventure: Part 4 – Bangui Windmills and Pagudpud Beach Escapade

Can’t hide my excitement while we were on our way to Bangui Windmills, the prominent trademark of Ilocos Norte. I was here five years ago with my former colleagues, awed and astonished looking at the swirling giants stood firmly like a military army protecting its base. Now I am back with my family and our favorite travel buddies, Froi, Marie, and Abu.

Balinsasayaw Chicken Grill and Restaurant in Silang, Cavite – Definitely a must-try

Our first family minor trek at Taal Crater Lake in Talisay, Batangas was one of our happy and memorable experiences. Not that we enjoyed the scenic views, our kids immensely enjoyed the exciting adventure. Snack Delight at Mushroomburger Restaurant in Tagaytay City

Way home now after our company’s one and a half-day kick-off meeting in a retreat house in Tagaytay City.  I was in a car with Joel, Mark, Faith, and Michael. Among the five of us, Michael was the lucky employee who won an award in our annual awarding ceremony highlighted the other night. Since it has a cash prize, we sweetly coerced him for a treat in Mushroomburger Restaurant which was located in Barangay Kaybagal a few distances away from where we’ve been. Continue reading

Munching the cheesy DJC Halo Halo in Tiwi, Albay

I’ve heard DJC Halo Halo and Snack Inn in Tiwi, Albay from my mother and friends who had tasted their creamy halo halo with their comment, superb! For our 2014 summer vacation in my hometown, I vowed myself dropping by here with my family. Aside from pili, pinangat, and chilly ice cream, Bicol has this cheesy halo halo that will complete your Albay getaway.

Davao Series-Day Two: A Morning Walk at Kaputian Beach Resort

My excitement in our snorkeling today in Giant Clam Sanctuary at 9 a.m. woke me up so early.  I rushed into the window and hailed the curtain. Oh my, it was gloomy!  But rain or shine, we got out from Captain Hook’s Red Parrot Inn and started the day taking a morning walk in a nearby Kaputian Beach Resort to see the humble community of Kaputian.

Quezon Wonder-Part 1: Puting Buhangin and Kwebang Lampas

I was amazed when I saw pictures of Puting Buhangin in Pagbilao Grande Island in Quezon. When my family rejected the idea of going back to Baguio for a Holy Week vacation, I showed them pictures of this island. Beaming with excitement, they all voted for a Quezon family beach getaway.
