Walking and Chilling Around in La Trinidad, Benguet

The view of the grassy hill and the start of cool temperature served as an appetizer for a fresh meal of amazing scenery ahead of us as we were approaching Baguio City. But as we moved on I was surprised to see that it was now highly urbanized with houses made of modern architecture and with fewer pine trees. And there was heavy traffic along the way.

Singapore Family Trip-Part 9: Child delight in Singapore Zoo

This day marks our last glimpse of Singapore. My brother (our generous provider haha!) made us choose which of these zoos we like best to explore on our last day – River Safari, Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, or Singapore Zoo. Since we can’t decide which is which, he finally declared the latter. With his family who had been there once, we set off early so we can fully enjoy our one whole day family getaway.

Singapore Family Trip-Part 7: Window Shopping along Orchard Road Shopping Belt

Our tummies were filled to its brim as Bogs and Allan (my hubby’s former office mates now based in Singapore) treated us to a hefty lunch in the Food Republic in Wisma Atria. They could not get enough of their “keeping in touch” conversation so they decided to settle for a coffee break at Starbucks Coffee along Orchard Road. Then they toured us around to see how fabulous getting into Asia’s famous shopping street.

A birthday treat at Burot Beach, Calatagan, Batangas

I had known about Burot Beach,  way back in 2008 when my former office mates spent a summer getaway here. I was on another occasion so I missed a generous amount of opportunity to spend a quiet weekend getaway in a place, devoid of a crowd and to where sunset offers an obstructed view of a breathtaking sea. This is formerly Elizalde Beach owned by an affluent family, the Elizaldes.

A taste of nachos at Army Navy Burger + Burrito Restaurant

Army Navy Burger + Burrito is a military-inspired restaurant that serves American and Mexican food. It is fast becoming a famous burger restaurant with several branches in Metro Manila and in provincial areas. And most of their branches are beside their sister restaurant which is the Yellow Cab Pizza.

Boodle feast at Blackbeard’s Seafood Island North Shore

In celebration of Mother’s Day today, we will spend the night with a boodle feast at Blackbeard’s Seafood Island North Shore or simply Seafood Island at SM Bay the Bay, Mall of Asia. And another reason to hype up the evening is the birthday celebration of my youngest brother Choy who is on a two-week vacation (he is based in Singapore). This is his treat. Thanks, bro!

Happy tummies at Charaptor Charcoal Barbeque Bar

Audit season has ended, and so for us the Finance team, this is the time to unwind, chill and relax. Time to whisk off the pressure and stress we had for the past few months. We’re not the finicky type of office people, as long as we are all together in one long table (at libre hahaha!) we will surely get in. And now, we will glut our appetites at Charaptor Charcoal Barbecue Bar, the Barbecue-All-U-Can restaurant situated at Kamagong Street corner Aranga Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City.

Nipa Resto Grill, San Fernando, La Union

Our vacation in Ilocos Province was indeed refreshing. As we were on our way to Manila, the group still craves its famous delicacies. It was nearing twelve high noon and while we were along Diversion Road in San Fernando we stumbled upon this cute restaurant Nipa Resto Grill with ”Bahay Kubo” style structure. And everyone was excited to hop out from the van and eat!

Ilocos Norte Adventure: Part 4 – Bangui Windmills and Pagudpud Beach Escapade

Can’t hide my excitement while we were on our way to Bangui Windmills, the prominent trademark of Ilocos Norte. I was here five years ago with my former colleagues, awed and astonished looking at the swirling giants stood firmly like a military army protecting its base. Now I am back with my family and our favorite travel buddies, Froi, Marie, and Abu.
