It was in May 2006 when I took my first memorable airplane ride bound for Albay, my humble hometown. There was a tinge of fear when the plane took off but then excitement ruled the day. When the captain announced the landing I was mesmerized glimpsing the majestic Mayon Volcano and when I stooped down, I saw the mass of mounds that resembled Bohol’s Chocolate Hills. An overwhelming curiosity had taken hold of me. This is a unique natural wonder but why it hasn’t been discovered yet so it will be added to Albay’s roster of famous tourist attractions.

The lovely clay pots of Philceramics in Tiwi, Albay
I was happy to go back to Philceramics (Philippine Ceramics Arts and Crafts Center) in Barangay Putsan in Tiwi, Albay to which was known for the century-old pottery industry. With my hubby and my mother, we were excited to see their new clay products and buy another set of elegant vases and ceramic jars.
Side trip to Pililla Wind Farm in Rizal
Everyone was so eager glimpsing the gigantic wind turbines as we were approaching the Pililla Wind Farm. There were many vehicles occupying the ample parking lot when we arrived. We hastily hopped out from the van and passed several stores selling souvenir goodies, food, and refreshments. There were many visitors taking photos with the wind turbines as their backdrop. By looking at them, I was sure of one thing, Pililla Wind Farm is now a prime tourist spot.
Bulawan Floating Restaurant in Pililla, Rizal
The countryside charm of Pililla in the province of Rizal was mesmerizing. I thanked my husband for bringing us to a place closer to Manila that offers a unique kind of serenity. Before we head off to Wind Farm as our side trip to our wedding anniversary celebration in Bakasyunan Resort in Tanay, we will pop up our lunch in Bulawan Floating Restaurant for another unique dining experience.
Bakasyunan Resort in Tanay, Rizal: Refreshed and Satisfied
We had come to know Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center in Tanay, Rizal while watching GMA-7′s morning show Unang Hirit. Shi Lin: Authentic Taiwanese Cuisine
This day marked our 21st wedding anniversary. My hubby surprised me with a water getaway not today but tomorrow since he wanted our kids and my mother to celebrate this special occasion with them. In the meantime, we will be having dinner in Circuit Makati, just the two of us. We were craving ramen. But to our dismay, there’s no restaurant in this mall that serves our favorite dish. So we opted to eat noodles, and we chose Shi Lin.
The Sky Walk Extreme Adventure in Cebu City
My experience in trekking Masungi Georeserve in Tanay, Rizal last November 30, 2016, pushed me to defy the country’s first and only Sky Walk Extreme in Crown Regency Hotel and Towers, the second tallest building in Cebu City. This famous adventure features a ten-minute walk with an overhead safety harness on the translucent pathway around the 37th floor, 126.55 meters high above the street.
Early dinner at Apag Marangle, Pampanga
Our two-day sun and sand getaway at Nagsasa Cove in Zambales was indeed so refreshing. As we headed along Gapan Road in Pampanga, we searched for dining options somewhere in the city which is known for its sophisticated culinary work and exotic dish. By a stroke of luck, we stumbled upon this humble restaurant Apag Marangle which was beside the main highway in Sta. Barbara, Bacolor, Pampanga.
Anawangin Cove: Savoring its laid-back feel atmosphere
Anawangin and Nagsasa are two popular coves in Zambales that I was itching to visit. I was coercing my hubby in getting there for almost three years now, yearning and dreaming of camping and beach getaway. Came the third week of March this year, I was surprised by his abrupt decision when he told me that we will be celebrating our son’s 19th birthday there! Finally, this is it! Thank you so much dear for considering my long-time wish. Yehey!
Nagsasa Cove: Its charm and serenity
By exploring Anawangin Cove on foot, we appreciated its charm and discovered why it was flocked by a large assembly of campers. But since we are after a relaxed atmosphere, less crowd and more breathtaking views, we chose Nagsasa Cove to spend a camping getaway. This is my first time to camp with my family so I want it to be special and memorable.
