We had come to know Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center in Tanay, Rizal while watching GMA-7′s morning show Unang Hirit. What caught our fancy was the big Infinity Pool and its thrilling outdoor activities. For our twentieth anniversary, my hubby surprised me with a weekend getaway in this famous resort. Together with our kids and my mother, we will drive from Manila a two-hour trip in getting to the province of Rizal.

My flight with my office mates going to Cebu via Cebu Pacific was delayed for six hours due to maintenance repair work of Tagaytay’s radar which we thought has ended the day before our flight. It was a stressful day seeing lots of people complaining, shouting and some were fuming with anger at the ticketing employees. I commend these employees for dealing with them with so much patience.

By exploring Anawangin Cove on foot, we appreciated its charm and discovered why it was flocked by a large assembly of campers. But since we are after a relaxed atmosphere, less crowd and more breathtaking views, we chose Nagsasa Cove to spend a camping getaway. This is my first time to camp with my family so I want it to be special and memorable.

After summiting Mt. Pulag, my very first memorable major climb in 2016, here comes another exciting adventure as 2017 came in. Together with my office mates Janice, Rodett, Cyrhine, Lenie, and Pauline, we will embark on a thrilling and easy climb to Mt. Talamitam which is said to be the younger sister of Mt. Batulao as both have the same terrain. This is located in Nasugbu, Batangas with a height of 615 meters above sea level.

My daughter was so excited when we allowed her to join their field trip this year because of Star City. We haven’t spent previous holidays in this theme park for quite some time that’s why our little girl misses the rides and attractions there. This is my last year to accompany Shen in this activity because she will be in her sixth grade this coming school year. I will be missing our happy times together. And since this is my last, I will make sure, this day will be full of fun and enjoyment.

Aside from Mt. Pulag’s famous sea of clouds, its uniqueness is its different vegetation in different elevations. Not only that, but it is also home to unique species of flora and fauna and is the natural habitat of the endemic dwarf bamboos and edelweiss that feast to the eyes when trekking the 500 hectares grassland. Sounds exciting right?

I will not leave Macau without visiting its grand casinos which make the city famous. After a hefty lunch with Day Leen, Jelo, Kimmie in a restaurant near Real Casino Hotel, we boarded a free shuttle service going to the Venetian Macao in Cotai Strip. This is the first casino on my bucket list to visit. Surprisingly, after all the walking from Senado Square down to Golden Lotus Square, we were all still giddy with excitement to proceed to the last leg of our Macau tour.
I was so excited but a bit nervous about my Hong Kong trip for this is my first time traveling alone out of the country. It was a challenge to prepare the DIY (do-it-yourself) itinerary and to come up with a good one. To make my vacation more fulfilling, I added Macau to my trip since this is an hour apart only from Hong Kong through a ferry boat.

The view of the grassy hill and the start of cool temperature served as an appetizer for a fresh meal of amazing scenery ahead of us as we were approaching Baguio City. But as we moved on I was surprised to see that it was now highly urbanized with houses made of modern architecture and with fewer pine trees. And there was heavy traffic along the way.

Being known for its exemplary cleanliness and safest place to visit, Singapore is no doubt one of the top Asian destinations for Filipinos during vacation and holidays. The whole family will surely enjoy immersing in numerous tourist spots, exciting attractions, a myriad of activities, shopping malls, and amusements. The transportation system is so accessible and there is no language barrier since English is a common language.
