Coron is the largest town on Busuanga Island in the province of Palawan. Its dive sites, stunning white-sand beaches, towering limestone cliffs, well-preserved shipwrecks, and clean lakes are just some of its attractions that had been raving about by thrill-seeker adventurers. And what is so surprising, the indigenous tribe “Tagbanuas” is still on hand in managing and protecting the island.

Coron-Day One (Part 2): Mount Tapyas and Maquinit Hot Spring
We were rejuvenated after an hour of rest from roaming around and buying souvenirs and food in Coron town. The sea view from the window of Birang Guest House to where we will stay for four days was so delightfully refreshing. By 4:00 pm, we were fetched by our tricycle service referred by Ate Viring, the owner of the guest house. This is our first day in our dream destination and our initial activities are: to climb the iconic Mt. Tapyas and to swim in Maquinit Hot Spring.
Villa Escudero: Finally!
What thrilled us to celebrate our mother’s 60th birthday at Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort is their unique dining experience on native cuisines in Labasin Waterfalls Restaurant and the showcase of the Philippines ‘ rich cultural heritage. We skipped the usual beach getaway this time to enjoy a whole day of fun in the hacienda and to embrace our unique culture. Ika nga, “Iba ang Pinoy!”
Puerto Galera Beach Getaway with the Family
Since my hubby enjoyed our two-day couple getaway at Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro last January of this year, he fulfilled his promise to our kids that will go back to this beautiful island with the whole family. Aside from our kids we also enjoined my mom and my nephews Miko and Isha to join us in this exciting family beach escapade in one of the top diving destinations in the Philippines.
The CATS winners at Leofoo Village Theme Park, Hsinchu County, Taiwan
We, the members of the “CATS” grand prize winner were all excited as we boarded a hired bus going to Leofoo Village Theme Park, a theme park and safari located in Guanxi Town of Hsinchu County, Taiwan. This is part of the tour for winning in our 2008 Christmas Party in Manila, another surprise treat apart from our four-day tour in the northern part of Taiwan.
The CATS’s Prize: Trip to Taiwan
Cash and trip to Taiwan are our prizes for winning the grand prize in our 2008 Christmas Party musical dance contest which was held in Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. We performed Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “CATS”. As the organizer and co-leader of our group, it was an overwhelming feeling that for two consecutive years, the Central Area did it again!
Puerto Galera: Island Hopping Adventure
We had a comfortable sleep at HSL Beach Resort the other night. Thanks to the manager, Ate Marie for her gracious accommodation. The next morning, we walked along the shoreline to enjoy the cool breeze and the calm sea view. The weather was good. My hubby and I are so excited for our island hopping today!
Couple Goals in Puerto Galera
I was mesmerized by the unique beauty of Puerto Galera when the Accounting Team spent a two-day beach escapade on this island. When I told my hubby about our worthy experience he told me that he wanted to go there too. He promised our kids that if he will enjoy our two-day couple getaway, we will go back with the whole family.
La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City: Doing the Traditional Family Fun Again
La Mesa Ecopark is within La Mesa Dam Watershed. It is located in East Fairview Subdivision in Quezon City. Thanks to the joint partnership of MWSS, ABS-CBN, and Quezon City local government for turning this neglected area into a well-developed park which is now an ideal spot for communing with nature and indulging in healthful outdoor activities. This is a perfect getaway for a family or group of friends, especially on weekends.
Breathtaking Virgin Island in Cebu
We leaped out of bed as early as 5:00 am because my hubby and I were so excited for our island hopping to Virgin Island. And not only that, we will catch the sunrise. It was a cool refreshing morning as we walked on the shore of Budyong Beach Resort and a little later we stepped into our neighboring resort, the Kota Beach. The tide had just receded and what was left was the fragmenting sandy stretch. The creamy white sand was very fine. We had the beach all by ourselves.
