Our two-day sun and sand getaway at Nagsasa Cove in Zambales was indeed so refreshing. As we headed along Gapan Road in Pampanga, we searched for dining options somewhere in the city which is known for its sophisticated culinary work and exotic dish. By a stroke of luck, we stumbled upon this humble restaurant Apag Marangle which was beside the main highway in Sta. Barbara, Bacolor, Pampanga.

Anawangin Cove: Savoring its laid-back feel atmosphere
Anawangin and Nagsasa are two popular coves in Zambales that I was itching to visit. I was coercing my hubby in getting there for almost three years now, yearning and dreaming of camping and beach getaway. Came the third week of March this year, I was surprised by his abrupt decision when he told me that we will be celebrating our son’s 19th birthday there! Finally, this is it! Thank you so much dear for considering my long-time wish. Yehey!
Nagsasa Cove: Its charm and serenity
By exploring Anawangin Cove on foot, we appreciated its charm and discovered why it was flocked by a large assembly of campers. But since we are after a relaxed atmosphere, less crowd and more breathtaking views, we chose Nagsasa Cove to spend a camping getaway. This is my first time to camp with my family so I want it to be special and memorable.
Minor Climb No. 4: Mt. Talamitam
After summiting Mt. Pulag, my very first memorable major climb in 2016, here comes another exciting adventure as 2017 came in. Together with my office mates Janice, Rodett, Cyrhine, Lenie, and Pauline, we will embark on a thrilling and easy climb to Mt. Talamitam which is said to be the younger sister of Mt. Batulao as both have the same terrain. This is located in Nasugbu, Batangas with a height of 615 meters above sea level.
Nayong Pilipino in Clark, Pampanga: The glimpse to the past
A visit to Nayong Pilipino in Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga gave us the opportunity to go back in time and embrace our heritage, values, and culture. This cultural theme park which was once located in Pasay City features replicas of historical sites, tourist spots, native villages, and cultural presentations. Among the prime attractions are the houses of our national heroes like Dr. Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini, and the first president of the country, Emilio Aguinaldo.
21st Philippine International Hot Air Balloon in Clark, Pampanga
This is our first time to watch the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival, the longest-running sports event in Asia which is now in its 21st year. I’ve heard this is the last festival, so I enjoined my family my niece, and nephews to witness this exciting activity at OMNI Aviation in Clark, Pampanga which will happen from February 9 to 12, 2017.
Fun and laughter at Star City
My daughter was so excited when we allowed her to join their field trip this year because of Star City. We haven’t spent previous holidays in this theme park for quite some time that’s why our little girl misses the rides and attractions there. This is my last year to accompany Shen in this activity because she will be in her sixth grade this coming school year. I will be missing our happy times together. And since this is my last, I will make sure, this day will be full of fun and enjoyment.

Major Climb No. 1: Surviving Mt. Pulag
Aside from Mt. Pulag’s famous sea of clouds, its uniqueness is its different vegetation in different elevations. Not only that, but it is also home to unique species of flora and fauna and is the natural habitat of the endemic dwarf bamboos and edelweiss that feast to the eyes when trekking the 500 hectares grassland. Sounds exciting right?
The Exciting Masungi Georeserve Trek
Masungi Georeserve a geopark in Tanay, Rizal was fast becoming famous since it opened its doors to the public in December 2015. It is a conservation area where it aims to protect the lush forest, the rock formations which are somehow similar to those found in Palawan, the flora, and its natural fauna.
