For my daughter’s 10^th birthday celebration, we opted to go back to Katungkulan Beach Resort (formerly known as Cavite de Boracay) in Ternate, Cavite for another water fun adventure. Unfortunately, it was closed due to the week-long training of the marines. Our Plan B was in Ternate Beach Resort, the nearest resort known for its budget rate and accessibility.

It took us around fifteen minutes to look for the resort. Lucky enough, it did not rain today and we had the beach all to ourselves. We chose the beachfront wooden cottage for a rate of P1,200 so we can look for the kids who started to immerse in the water excitedly.

Since it was so early to grill our additional meal of two big yellowfins (our all-time favorite fish on the beach) and eggplant for Ensalada, I took a leisure walk from end to end portion of the resort. I was able to chat with Ate Beck the manager of the resort and she allowed me to see inside the fan room.

It was so nice walking around, embracing the serenity of the place, and watching the waves as they crushed to the shore. Later me and my hubby got so busy with grilling activity.

We used the long table near the cottage for our lunch. Ate Beck was so kind for allowing us to use this facility and the grilling rod (rent-Php100.00) for free.

Surprisingly, there was a cool breeze amidst the scorching heat. Mama and Pao lay comfortably in the bamboo chair and dozed off. The gentle air slowly lulled me to sleep. I can’t help it too, I took a nap for almost thirty minutes before I join my buddies on the water.

It was a sunny day but the waves were strong and the water was not clear compared to Katungkulan Beach Resort. Anyway, we enjoyed basking in the sun till the rest of the afternoon.

In getting there:

Through Private Vehicle – From Manila, take the Coastal Road (Php24.00 toll fee) going to CAVITEX Expressway (Php64.00). From Kawit Exit, go straight to Rosario, Tanza, Naic, Maragondon, and finally Ternate.  When you reach the Y-intersection in Barangay Bucana turn right to get to the resort.

Through Public Transportation – Take a bus ride in Coastal Mall (Saulog Bus or Saint Anthony for Php80). From the terminal, ride a tricycle going to the resort (Php50).
